About this hotel

Guests choosing a pool-first stay here get an outdoor deck that keeps the loungers in shade by mid-afternoon, useful once the sun climbs hard in March and April. The hot tub sits a few steps from the pool edge rather than tucked into a spa wing, so an evening soak does not require booking a treatment. Mornings work best for laps, before the deck fills with hotel guests heading to the three restaurants downstairs. Bogyoke Aung San Market is a ten-minute walk for jade stalls and colonial arcades, and the nightclub means this is not a quiet-hours property after dark. Budget travellers will notice the rate undercuts most other five-star pools in this list, which explains the trade-off in polish elsewhere.

  • Outdoor pool
  • Hot tub
  • Fitness center
  • Three restaurants

Our take

This suits travellers who want a genuine outdoor pool and a hot tub without paying five-star Strand Road rates, and who do not mind a livelier property after dark. Couples chasing total quiet should look at the Strand instead, since the on-site nightclub carries some noise into the lower floors on weekend nights. Anyone visiting July through September should confirm the pool stays open, since Yangon's heaviest rain months sometimes force short closures.

  • Ask for an upper floor if you want distance from the nightclub on weekend nights
  • Walk to Bogyoke Aung San Market before 9am, the jade stalls get crowded by mid-morning
  • Use the hot tub after dinner, it empties out once the restaurants close for the night

Why we love it

  • Outdoor pool with shaded loungers
  • Hot tub open to all guests
  • Ten-minute walk to Bogyoke Aung San Market
  • Three restaurants on site
Why guests love it

The rooftop nightclub had wound down by the time we got back from Bogyoke Aung San Market, and the pool deck the next morning was near-empty, just two other guests doing laps before the heat set in. The hot tub water ran genuinely hot, not lukewarm, which is not a given at this price. Breakfast covered enough ground that we skipped lunch. A solid mid-range base for a pool-focused stay, not a luxury one.
