For a spa in the city centre with the firmest reviews, the Nanning Marriott Hotel at 131 Minzu Avenue has 119 reviews behind its 8.8, the largest sample here. Listings describe a full-service spa, an indoor pool and a sauna, and the hotel was refreshed in 2020. The Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center is about an 18-minute walk away, which makes it the obvious base for a trade fair. The pool is indoors, so it works in the rainy season as well as on a mild January evening. It is my pick for a short work trip.
Wanda Vista Nanning is the hotel to question before booking. One listing says every room has its own hot tub, which our data repeats, but other listings for its 321 rooms do not mention it, so I would ask for written confirmation. What is confirmed is an indoor pool, a steam room and a full-service spa, and Kayak lists the indoor pool as heated with a hot tub. Fengling Guangxi Water World is about nine minutes away by car. It holds a 9.0 from 43 reviews, a strong score for a family stay.
The two quieter choices are Na Lotus Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, and the Renaissance Nanning Hotel. Na Lotus has an indoor pool with a view, a sauna, spa treatments and a 24-hour health club, and rates 9.0 from just ten reviews. The Renaissance pairs an indoor pool with a sauna, spa facilities and a hot tub, and holds the best score of the five, 9.1, from 29 reviews. The Guangxi Museum of Nationalities is 7 km from the Renaissance and Nanhu Park 8 km, so it suits a stay with a car.
A traveler's takeIf the pool is the reason for the trip, I would book the Shangri-La Nanning for its heated outdoor pool on level 71, accepting a lower overall score. For a trade fair or a short business stay, I would choose the Nanning Marriott, a walk from the exhibition centre, with the most reviews of the five. For a calm stay with the best scores, I would pick the Renaissance, but only with a car. At Wanda Vista, I would not count on the in-room hot tub until the hotel confirms it in writing.
