Our take
I would choose the Holiday Inn Shijiazhuang Central for a city stay with an indoor pool and an evening scene: the bar and lounge is lively, and two restaurants handle dinner. Rooms and suites are stylish, and the hotel is kid-friendly, which makes it work for families as well as work trips. Its 8.6 from 20 reviews is a good sign from a small sample.

Why guests love itHoliday Inn Shijiazhuang Central put us close enough to the city center that the pool felt like a genuine bonus rather than the only reason to stay in. Our kids preferred the pool over the bar, unsurprisingly, while I appreciated two restaurants to alternate between over a five-night stay. The business center came in handy for a last-minute print job before a meeting, and the kid-friendly staff made checking in with tired children painless. It's a solid, central pick if a working pool matters more than a standout design.
