About this hotel

Having two pools changes how a stay here actually runs: an outdoor swim on a warm afternoon, an indoor lap session on a cooler morning, both accessible from the same spa and fitness wing without switching hotels or seasons. Balcony rooms look out over the garden or the pool itself, a genuine view rather than a car park outlook, and the soundproofing keeps the conference-centre side of the property from bleeding into the guest floors. Five restaurants cover Chinese, Japanese, Asian and Cantonese cuisines across traditional, modern and romantic settings, enough range for a multi-night business stay without repeating a menu. Fantawild Dreamland Xiamen sits eight kilometres away for a family afternoon, and Bailuzhou Park is a further drive for anyone extending the trip past the conference schedule.

  • Tennis court

Our take

This suits longer stays, business or leisure, where having both an indoor and outdoor pool actually gets used across a temperature swing or a packed schedule. Families travelling with the Fantawild Dreamland day trip in mind will find the balcony rooms and five-restaurant spread genuinely useful. It works less well as a short old-town base, Gulangyu Island and Zengcuo'an both sit well outside a comfortable walk from this property.

  • Request a balcony room with a pool view specifically, garden-view rooms are quieter but skip the water outlook.
  • Use the indoor pool on cooler or rainy mornings and save the outdoor one for the warmest part of the afternoon.
  • Book the Fantawild Dreamland day trip through the front desk if travelling with children, it is eight kilometres from the hotel.

Why we love it

  • Both an indoor and an outdoor pool on-site
  • Balcony rooms with pool or garden views
  • A spa and sauna alongside the pools
  • Five restaurants across four cuisines
Why guests love it

Switching pools by the hour turned out to be the actual highlight, not something we expected to matter this much. Rain on the second morning killed any outdoor plans, so the indoor pool absorbed the disappointment while the kids still got a swim in. The balcony room looked straight down onto the outdoor pool, which made checking whether it was worth heading down easy without getting dressed first. Fantawild Dreamland the next day was an easy eight-kilometre trip from the hotel.
