Hotels in Shanghai

Shanghai reads as two cities joined by a river. On the Puxi side, the Bund's colonial-era stone facades face the water, Nanjing Road runs the shopping crowds toward People's Square, and the French Concession keeps its plane trees and Art Deco lanes further west. Across the Huangpu, Pudong's Lujiazui district stacks glass towers, including the Shanghai Tower, into a skyline built within a generation. Hotel pools here follow the same split: rooftop pools high in Pudong's towers trade on the skyline view, while indoor and heated pools, more common on the Puxi side and in outer districts like Hongqiao and Qingpu, answer to the city's humid summers and damp winters instead. Getting around means the metro more than a car, and most international flights land at Pudong International, connected to Longyang Road by the Maglev, while Hongqiao handles domestic and regional routes.
